This is an expanded re-post of something I typed on Facebook (in response to a posting by Stephen Haynes):

When Ann and I moved to Chicago in1966, Lester and Fontella were about the only married couple we knew. They were newly arrived from St. Louis, so we had that in common. Ann and I were remembering good times at their home on 74th St. She was a powerful woman.

Very sad news, saw her with Lester. A night to remember. And always loved Rescue Me.
