The on-line jazz community's too small to alienate folks with all this infantile in-joke crap. It's one thing to run free on a longer leash here, but BN Europe is just another version of the ol' defunct corporate BN board and if they're smart they won't put up with all the shit that helped bring down the old one. I may not like the position they're in (and will no doubt take), but what really bothers me is the way some posters from here seem determined to sabotage things from the start. I read tonight that the new Norah Jones album has sold over a million copies in its first week of release. Its a glorious thing for Blue Note. I don't think they'll tolerate that stag party crap over on that new board for long. They'll either clean it up or pull the plug again real soon.
