John Lindberg Trio - Give and Take (Black Saint, 1982)

I hadn't realised that, not only is there another George Lewis, but there is another John Lindberg Trio. In the latter case, it is a Swedish rockabilly combo that sometimes goes by "JLT".

Really good album but I always wonder what was the cover designer thinking?!

I quite like the idea of the two trios being the same, George Lewis plays rockabilly!

It's just soupy and barely goes beyond like 3 minutes a cut. Even though Benny Carter did the arrangements its not at all geared toward jazzheads.

@TTK would probably love it for the atmospherics - with the right potent potable, and Mrs. TTK.
