Had much the same experience -- a beat up used LP for many years that was treasurable for what I could hear of it. Then finally found the CD.

I can't believe that this recently released record came out over a decade ago. I feel incredibly old.

At least it has aged well. It's doing the work that the morning coffee couldn't.

Xavier Davis - Dance Of Life (Metropolitan Records). Nice CD. Don Braden plays beautifully. I pulled this out because I just got an offer from Tommy for CDs from this catalog. I've had this one for years.

I've never heard that record -- but that's a killer line-up of saxophonists.
