jazzbo Posted December 27, 2025 Report Posted December 27, 2025 (edited) Duke Ellington and his Orchestra “Duke 56/62 Vol. 3” CBS France LP. These are mostly vocal items, most from singles. I have Vol. 2 as well, and am on the lookout for a less expensive Vol. 1 than I see available right now. Edited December 27, 2025 by jazzbo Quote
jazzbo Posted December 27, 2025 Report Posted December 27, 2025 Anderson Bruford Wakeman and Howe “An Evening Of Yes Music Plus” Fragile 2 cd set, disc 2 This time I’m listening to the gold cd set, not the promo set. Sounds the same as far as I can sense, but the gold discs are cool. 600×450 87 KB Quote

felser Posted December 27, 2025 Report Posted December 27, 2025 This one fell through the cracks for me, and I was late in the game to pick it up, but glad I did. Quote

Stompin at the Savoy Posted December 28, 2025 Report Posted December 28, 2025 This is a somewhat elusive album in Joe Newman's catalog. Very tasty small group swing. It was originally issued on Jazztone as New Sounds in Swing. Also released as Byer's Guide by the Billy Byers Sextet. There was a Fresh Sounds CD of this, somewhat pricey and hard to find now. For now I'm listening to a cheap download from Apple Music. Quote
