Ordered “Luminous” and I’m one listen in. Not sure what to think. My first impression wasn’t as strong as I was expecting but with Guy/Hemingway as the bass/drums tandem my expectations might have been excessive.

I’d be all over the Jones Jones if it was on CD. The two recordings I have are treasures. Great great improvising trio. “Moscow Improvisations” on Not Two Records is especially great. If I was into solo saxophone recordings (which I’m not) I’d be ordering Hydros 2 by Liudas Mockunas. As I mentioned on another thread, the trio recording with the saxophonist joined by Rafal Mazur & Raymond Strid - Live at Divadlo 29.

Have you seen Mockunas live?

Looking forward to the Oliver Lake volume finally hitting these shores, and can't wait to see what else they pull out of the vaults. All of the first 3 releases are phenomenal, maybe the Blythe most of all.

👌 Agreed on all accounts. (I've listened to the McIntyre but don't own it.) It's a great sub-series.

Physical CDs don't seem easy to buy [I assume you want CDs].

Squidco shows lots of titles. Price is $16.95 a CD. They have the Lyons, but prior titles in the series are not in stock.

DG probably gets a few, but you'd have to act very fast, preorder if possible.

Back in the day I used to buy from the label on eBay, but that (at least for CDs) seems NLA.

Bandcamp has many titles, but physical CDs are 16 Euros + shipping from Europe so US outlets would be better if they have 'em.

Squidco and Dusty Groove will get them. DG will likely sell out quickly, but Squidco will have more copies and restock. You can also get a notice from each when the title is available; Squico offers an option to automatically create an order for you on the title when they receive it in, doesn't look like DG is offering a pre-order at this time:

I did buy from JM a few times about 10-15 years ago, but after the major international shipping hikes post-pandemic, it has just been too much for me to justify.

No non-USA sellers are good options for us right now due to tariff craziness on top of already greatly increased shipping costs.  I used to order from JazzMessengers fairly regularly several years ago - they do a great job and had excellent prices.

I used to order from them. I stopped when our post office wouldn't deliver without a signature & i'd have to make a 20 mile roundtrip to pickup at the postoffice.  

With tariffs & shipping charges I don't even try.
