Total: $175.99, money well spent!!! Amoeba's prices have come down from what they were in the past. I saw the Andrew Hill Mosaic on sale for $85.00 last week. BillF Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Recent discussion of this one here reminded me that I hadn't really listened to it since its release in the mid-60s. It was time I bought my own copy! Quote

colinmce Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 I recently bought all of Steve Lacy's RCA-Novus records, along with Sortie/Disposability and NY Capers & Quirks. Looking forward to dipping into these. Also won the Port of Harlem Jazzmen and Ammons/Lewis Mosaics on ebay, plus some Marilyn Crispell and Richard Grossman trios and Braxton's Six Compositions Quartet w/ Ed Blackwell on Antilles. Quote

coooltrane Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 The nice man answering the phone said it would ship tomorrow. Own a few of the Mosaic Selects but never one of the big boxes. Have been holding out for this one for a while, but at the discounted price and with supplies running low I just had to bite. Quote

DMP Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 The recent Japanese version of "Les McCann in New York." Unfortunately, it doesn't have the "bonus" tracks with Bobby Hutcherson that were on the original CD issue (although it does have that extra track from that night at the Village Gate). Quote
