  1. In what little info I’m seeing here (and again that it’s one side only), it appears that you may have been sent to a “memory care” facility rather than what you may have actually needed which was an “assisted living” facility. Anyway, just guessing, but take it easy and we’ll be here for you when you’re up to regular posting again.
  2. Sarah Davachi's "Feedback Studies for Percussion," a slow, intense interplay of piano and percussion, Kelley Sheehan's "Acoustic Sourings" with its custom devices creating static noise against piano strings, and Victoria Cheah's "Ocean Into Wire," a blend of electronic and acoustic sounds in a tumultuous yet harmonious dance.
  3. I don't know anything about this guy, but the selections are choice, strictly rockers!
  4. 😆 Is that what they're calling it these days...
  5. This is the closest I currently know of (I generally don’t follow these things).
  6. My understanding is that the re-recorded versions are still outselling the originals because her fans understood what her label did to her and re-bought (and, in many cases, streamed) those particular ones in huge numbers. The numbers on the streaming and purchases of the re-releases are pretty staggering - with something like a near 50% drop in sales on the originals. I've read that the big guns are overhauling contracts on new "talent" by putting in clauses that state that they have to wait anywhere from 10 to 30 years before they can re-record any of their releases. here ya go...
  7. Tho I'm a big fan of both: in 2017, Threadgill's performance was a real bore for both my wife and I and in 2019, Wadada pitched a fit onstage and walked off leaving his audience hanging.
  8. Yeah, they did some of that too. Garage bands, bargain bin stuff from late 50s thru 70s. I think the first thing I bought from them was that album with all of those versions of Louie Louie or maybe it was The Kingsmen album itself.
  9. Surprised that Sundazed has been around this long because I only saw a desire for last century classics in a pretty niche group (in the 90s), but they seem to have delivered the goods and moved, a bit, with the new gen of people discovering these "classics," so good on 'em. I had to sell that Williams LP back in the day at Kinnara Dist. It's quite good!

  11. Yes, I had to deal with caregiving concerns for a mother-in-law for twelve years and agree with a lot of what is being said here … and, yes, it’s nice to kind of have Larry back, but it’s also important to remember that we’re only getting one side of the story here (somewhat) so I think we should just stay low and welcome him back and look forward to whatever music related discussion he wants to become involved in and pretty much keep it at that.
  12. Chuck is very convincing.
