Bandcamp has the function to give download albums/tracks as gifts. Things move on but stay the same. The Liebman CD is available here - third result on a Google search https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/davidliebmanfriends You may have to import from US but that's a price we have to make occasionally living in Europe. All depends on how much you want to hear something. The reason I buy occasional downloads too.

I'm waiting for a price drop after a few months for the CD box, or even a stream, to pick up alternates. I'm rationing myself, trying to get to know each album before moving on as it's all new to me; so still only 5 LPs in. Favourite session so far is ' Tubbs in NY'. But favourite individual tracks are 'The Folks Who Live On The Hill' and 'Down In The Village'. All going nicely with the Beeb's Keeler drama too. Think a visit to Bar Italia is required this week 😃 My reading of the Spillett bio has now caught up with my listening

I really enjoy 'Black Ark' too. Others I own and think well worth a listen are the two on ESP, 'Noah Howard Quartet' and 'At Judson Hall' (Ric Colbeck!) and also 'Berlin Concert' on FMP Ones I'd like to hear are 'Schizophrenic Blues', 'Space Dimension' (recently bootlegged reissue by the looks of things) and 'Live At The Swing Club'. I've not investigated his later work so will be interested to see what opinions this thread generates on them

The package I received wasn't wrapped in bubble wrap but a metallic blue plastic. I received two packages both in that packing. If it's coming from the same source then why wouldn't they all be packaged the same.

Mine was a signed for delivery but I only realised that when I got the delivery confirmation email - the signature image was my name but not my signature. I can only assume the courier "signed" for it retrospectively. It wouldn't surprise me if you get a knock on the door this evening or tomorrow. Hermes have always been my least favourite delivery company.

It does. The contrast between the Garbarek and Corea's Return to Forever choices makes that point eloquently. There was just too much good music in the catalogue at the time (and I'd the make a case for later too but that's another story).
