“The Columbia & RCA Victor Live Recordings of Louis Armstrong & The All-Stars” Mosaic Records 9 cd set. Continuing to move backwards in this set so to speak (last three, then middle three and now the first three discs). Now Disc 1–the amazing birth of the All-Stars live, the Town Hall Concert.

Chiropractors is not something I’ve ever believed in. Unfortunately, I made it worse by doing some shoveling in February. Do a lot of stretching daily.

It Sucks Getting Old

Back problems are the worst. I get a twinge every now & then. I have a chiropractor that does wonders when it gets really bad. A good chiropractor can do wonders. A bad one can make it worse. -
Have never felt old in my head. Unfortunately, my back ain’t cooperating right now so until I get moving in the morning, that drags me down.

I'm 70 and. over the last few years I've started to feel old. . . in my head. . . all over, and having a few issues at last. But I shouldn't complain.

I'm the same age and like you, I don't "feel" old... in my head. I was lucky to be able to retire at 61. The company where I spent the last 21 years of my career, Analog Devices, "made me an offer I couldn't refuse" so I took it. -
Grateful Dead “Dave’s Picks Vol. 14” disc 3. This is the final US concert before they shipped off for that Eupropean tour in 1972.

Forty-two and a half here, been checking in here since I was 20, and hope to keep doing so for many years to come. I don't feel any different than I did back then, except it's easier for me to pull a back muscle than it used to be. I echo the earlier sentiments about the world today, and I am glad I grew up when I did. -

We need more info on this Amarone. I have two bottles of Bertani Amarone in my cellar (2012 & 2013). I used to have several bottles of Masi Amarone down there but it has been a while since I bought more of that one. -
What rock music are you listening to? Non-Jazz, Non-Classical.

64, still working (primarily to fund music addiction). Exercise pretty hard daily, better shape now than I was at 40. As noted above, the body does not always cooperate and some things just deteriorate. One amazing fun fact - I have spent over 1/3 of my life on this forum. I love seeing familiar names, old and new. Even met some of you in person!

My Dad got like this when he hit 70. He was very depressed to find himself "three score and ten". Well he's four score and three now and seems to have never been happier. More of a social life than I have (42) and definitely a hipper crowd.

Lucrecia Dalt "A Danger To Ourselves" -Saw her at Big Ears. Very low key. Not sure why she chose that album cover. -
Definitely an "older" crowd here. Not surprising since this form of social media is pretty much dead, but glad we're still hanging on here. I'm 73, retired and in relatively good health (knock on wood). There's always aches and pains and I don't have the vision and hearing I once had - now wear glasses most of the time and have been wearing hearing aids for 3 years (most certainly the result of hundreds of rock concerts over the decades). I still go to see a lot of live music - both jazz and rock (mostly out-of-the-mainstream stuff, which means I go alone). And have been attending the Big Ears festival since 2018 (where I met Nessa👍), which requires a lot of stamina, but me and my same-age friends are still able to handle the long days/nights and constant hustle up and down the streets of Knoxville. My wife and I are the same age and most of my friends are in the same general age group. We like to travel when possible, but it's getting more and more expensive. I must say, turning 70 was kind of an eye-opener, and I still think about it a lot. I don't "feel" 70 (whatever that means) but the existential thought being in my last 1/3 of life is heavy, for sure. I still haven't completely come to grips with it. Nice to hear everyone else's experiences.

Disc 2 of this. Got a "dented box" version of the 8 CD set very cheap on Ebay. Not for the casual fan, but this stuff has always been in my blood, and this is a fascinating listen if it has the same level of meaning for you. -
