What Christmas music are you playing?
Kevin Bresnahan replied to The Magnificent Goldberg's topic in Miscellaneous Music
My daughter's favorite Christmas artist is playing now... Her version of "Grown Up Christmas List" is probably the best one out there. -
The Byas is excellent indeed. But I wouldn't let this one pass forever. The Woody Herman V-Discs alone make this set invaluable. These are the best First Herd records with increadible Dave Tough. And, from what I hear the sound is better here than on the HEP set. The Basie's are also great and not readily available on CD. And, the Krupa Fish Market in good sound will be nice. Fun record! There are many other gems on this too....

I'm taking a pass on this one and instead got the Byas, in part based on the recommendations from this board. Thanks, y'all. Happy Holidays to all. -

Prompted by the thread on this album: Prime Hampton Hawes. I was hipped to this by @soulpope, who -- sadly -- no longer visits the forum. This album is one of his favorites.

Score! I also managed to get a copy through the Forced Exposure restock. Can't wait to dig into this!

Yep! Totally agree.
