Love the sleeve, but think the scattered tracks around I have.

Talk about C.G. Jung's synchronicity. I was at a bar last night with friends for a drink and Eagle Eye’s Save the Night came on…cheers! Then later, we walked over to Barnes and Noble right by the restaurant we were at, and I came across Nenah Cherry’s Memoir, and of course I raced over to the chapter on Don. WOW. Within 5 minutes, she talks about her brother, Eagle Eye. Now that’s synchronicity!

What Christmas music are you playing?
Holy Ghost replied to The Magnificent Goldberg's topic in Miscellaneous Music
Playing now: Maybe my third favorite Christmas album. -
Ah, yes. And yes! But Thad and Elvin. Two players of interest!

Train Dreams - Netflix

nope, Olio is with Frank Wess... nice record, though. Teo with the Prestige Jazz Quartet is another story.

Even by Facebook's incredibly low standards, the nonsense spewing regarding this debacle has been shocking. And why ask Harper about it? Any journalist who has done a drop of research will know that Harper's departure was not under the best of terms. Asking him to chime in is just sensationalism. But the media these days is a big part of our problem. Not doing their job.

That's the one with Teo on tenor, right? Two was an interesting tenor player. Hell, an interesting musician, period.

The amount of misinformation on Facebook regarding this matter is mind-boggling. Among other things, Billy Harper was asked about it by some interviewer and said he would never play there. Some concluded that it was this comment that resulted in the Cookers being canceled. Nonsense - Harper left the band two years ago. He was just saying that he himself would not play there. Also, some dude wanted to go down a racial rabbit hole. Unfriended that dude quickly.

Right, I always loved that version and many folks who came to my place asked me to spin it, since I was the only guy then who had it.....

It was a great show, I noticed the great Harry Sokal playing a wonderful version of Naima, and there was a rare appearence of Matthias Ruegg who had founded the Viena Art Orchestra somewhen in the late 70´s ..... some great duo performances, but then it was over for me since a crazy woman slammed a door at my head and I was inconstient and rushed to hospital. Maybe.....they recorded it...... so I could also hear the rest...... it was supposed to be a long night......
