Maybe this is just anecdotal, but... Just received a periodic e-mail from Simon at Another Timbre, a UK-based label specializing in modern classical ( website ). It contained this excerpt: ...And finally, a note for everyone in the USA about posting CDs across the Atlantic in the era of bloody Donald Trump’s tariffs: I can still post discs to the US, and they are somehow exempt of tariff charges. However, amidst all the uncertainty the UK postal service has leapt in and considerably increased the price of sending small packets to the States. So if you want to order fewer than 5 CDs, it’s now probably cheaper to order them from Squidco – our US distributor, who carry virtually our entire catalogue. I’m still happy to send out smaller orders to the States, but the postal costs will be steep...

We were just playing "Little Girl Blue"the other night, and I had to look up at the music to see who wrote such incredible lyrics and great music. Sure enough, it was Rodgers and Hart. Hawke chooses such great roles.

Thank Offered for sale is a nice copy of the following Mosaic Stanley Turrentine box set: The Blue Note Stanley Turrentine Quintet/Sextet Studio Sessions 5 CD, Mosaic, 2002 Limited Edition of 5000 numbered copies (this is copy # 3065). Everything is in excellent condition - outer box, CDs, jewel cases, large booklet. There is just some very minor rubbing to about a 1/4" piece of the mid left side edge of the front cover paste-on photo. I had not even noticed that until now but wanted to mention any minor issue at all. It is a nice copy. $70 (+ $10 media mail shipping). U.S. shipping only. Payment by pay pal friends/family. I will pack this carefully (wrapped in bubble wrap), ship it in a sturdy box, and provide a postal tracking # after shipping.

I'm in Lisbon and was visiting a huge bookstore when I saw a sign pointing up a flight of stairs saying " Jazz Messengers". Of course I went up and it was a great selection of Lps with a pretty good cd section. I asked if this was the "Jazz Messengers" who shipped overseas and they replied that they ship from their store in Barcelona. Is this the organization many people here buy from? I've been having trouble posting photos (due to ineptitude) but i took some and when I return home I'll attempt to post them.
