Ordered this 2-disc set just this week. I guess I am now an inductee to THE CREATIVE WORLD OF STAN KENTON. Stan feels confident that his new organization, bolstered by my participation, will do much toward furthering the success and growth of modern American music. 😁

I hit Wax 'n Facts, a local record shop, earlier today. I brought home these four LPs:

Dang, I recognized Santana but not Abraxas, which is one of the albums I'm most familiar with. I saw Bill Ware play live in fall of 2024. I got the impression he's currently NY based. Didn't know about the Philly background.

you are right about that -- looks like their last IG post was a year ago today. I got the feeling that they, like many small labels at this point in time, were doing too much on a minimum of resources. Perhaps they are taking a rest.

5 is the opening track of Abraxas Philly old timer vibists not named Khan or Walt ... Bill Lewis came to mind first, then Bill Ware. Bill Ware fits better.
