  5. Thamm was a replacement for Don DeMichael, the original leader of the group and a great friend. Don was a mentor before I met him, and more later.

  7. I love some of these sessions and a few years ago assembled the material on 4 cdrs containing 104 tracks. With alternates it could easily be 5 discs.

  14. Listening now to a near final version of Roscoe's Montreal - Toronto project. I am having trouble imagining the reactions to come.

  16. He was a fine musician and man. His wife was always concerned that carrying that mail bag every day was damaging his health. She was always begging him to stop and on a couple of occasions asked me to help convince him. He had a long and productive life.

    Jazz Oracle

    Are the Jazz Oracles cdrs? It currently a crap-shoot with their back catalog.
  18. I still have a few 45s but the memories are more important, and vivid.
  19. After admiring Bud Herseth's Mysterious Mountain, further exploration is only ok.
