  1. He was an interesting wordsmith and sometimes an interesting critic. He is a good look inside NYC culturally accepted opinion of the time. If you are up to the task, he's a great read.
  2. Always happy to find music I feel I need. I went to the site all ready to buy a bunch (I printed out the complete list first) and the ordering process was so cumbersome I stopped.

  5. Barnes and Noble has had it as an "exclusive" since summer. They are currently selling them for $12 each.
  6. They issued those over here a few months ago. I got mine in July. The discs are the same as the big box.
  7. There was an early '60s version giving Coltrane and Mobley equal billing.
  8. Pete Bishop's. They rehearsed in the basement for months. That's where Terry made the recordings. It was in the heart of the U of C neighborhood - 5461 S University Ave.

  21. Titles going away. I can't believe any number of folks haven't jumped on !2022 and 12080. Both are 3 disc sets and are out of print. I have 3 and 4 sets respectively.
