Yes I have but it is not a fair comparison because lots of things changed in the years since the box was made. Besides the bit rate, tape machine, equalization and software used are different.
He was an interesting wordsmith and sometimes an interesting critic. He is a good look inside NYC culturally accepted opinion of the time. If you are up to the task, he's a great read.
