  1. Shorter tunes bring more jukebox nickles.
  2. My cdr (recorded from my lp, I believe) lists the times as 3:21 and 3:31.
  3. Is that a Vietnamese fish?
  4. I always loved his tone.
  5. You've had it on every time I've seen you.
  6. Please add a "d".
  7. Ivory,a very soft brush and linen works too. Don't get the labels wet.
  8. Craig is much smarter. He recently retired from the printing business - he's an engineer.
  9. Not at all, but everyone danced.
  10. Working on a bunch of stuff. We will issue the rest of the Art Ensemble box in a double disc version of "Old/Quartet" and a single disc of the pre-AEC stuff remaining. Also coming are Eddie's "Indian Summer", a domestic reissue of Von's "Have No Fear". All the Hal Russell material is boiling on the back burner. New issues include the original Roscoe Mitchell Quartet (from the early '60s) with Fred Berry on trumpet, Malachi Favors on bass and Alvin Fielder on drums as well as a duet date with Anthony Braxton and trumpeter John McDonough. Hope someone wants some of these.
  11. Indeed. Henry has the clue. Sorry I wasn't back in time for the performance - day late and......
  12. Here's a pic of my brother Craig, me, the bride AmyRae and our son Eric. Pardon the personal plug.
  13. Amazing. Thanks for the link.
  14. Overnight someone, maybe Ubu will shove us over the top and we can relax.
  15. The Chordettes. The Kingston Trio The Rays.
  16. It doesn't cost more to do 96 though some engineers think 88.2 translates better to cds.
  17. All of this is really disappointing to someone spending dozens of hours in the studio to make the 24/96 master sound as good as possible. Seems I'm playing the fool.
  18. Phil is right and wrong at the same time. The Marsalis family thing is a joke. So might be the Phil thing if my standards were applied. BUT I don't want to deny any award to any musician. Elect Fred Below to the Jazz Hall of Fame!
  19. Teddy made 2 really fine trio sessions for Storyville in 1968 and 1980. I prefer the 1980 date. These were spread over 3 lps. Don't know the cd configurations but they should have 2 really good discs from these sessions.
