  1. Time for Peter to experiment with smack.
  2. The reissue in the 7700 series had new stampers since it was phony stereo.
  3. Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps at the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines - probably 1957.
  4. Nice. I forgot about that one.
  5. I'll be in the Delmark studio working on some of my stuff next week. I'll suggest it again.
  6. That's the original cover with a photo by Terry Martin. I've been telling Delmark I want to remaster the tapes and have them reissue it with that cover.
  7. Happiness everywhere!
  8. Thanks. Was it deleted? WTF!
  9. Still working on my mono/stereo burns of the "Big Reunion" records. Damn this is wonderful stuff!
  10. Mosaic first. No question. The Arista Air titles are worth it alone, and better (geez I hate that word in this context) than the Air recordings on the BS box. You should get the About Time recordings after the Mosaic and then the BS box - not to forget the wonderful Pi releases. Henry is always very interesting - not many on this level.
  11. Too bad he didn't catch the tongue in the ear.
  12. Fine photographer. Too bad Johnny didn't agree.
  13. Don't you mean Yazoo? Too much time on the 'puter.
  14. The big mono dump began in 1968. At Discount Records, on Monroe St, in Chicago we had 3 or 4 bins going for $1.99. That would be around 225 titles. It was amazing what titles Liberty dug out of the warehouse for that sale.
  15. A few sentimental favorites but no single favorite.
  16. It would take 6 cds at the most.
  17. I have/had the following Signature material on lp or cd: Hawk Prez (Wells date) Webster Flip Bothwell Yank Lawson Hodes Shorty Sherock Leo Watson O'Day Manne (Bigard/Heywood) Jaws Julian Dash Garner Hines James P
  18. You can browse by artist - click on the "artist" tab.
  19. But can he play Sweet Georgia Brown?
  20. Needle drops of needle drops?
  21. Reminded by a post in the Sexy Covers thread, I'm now burning this to cd to combine with the original Jazztone material.
