  1. Quite a few blogs are, but storage space for FLAC files will continue to be an issue. Also, until Apple makes FLAC compatible with iPods, I don't see it taking off in a major consumer fashion. The majority of the general public doesn't care about quality, they want quantity and affordability. It is easy to convert flac/wav files to mp3 for the ipod. If you don't want better sound, dump the flacs after conversion.
  2. It would not be a N. Kimball address - that was a Nessa address. When I worked at Delmark, Esquire was the English rep.
  3. There were two Ter Mar studios too. The second one was much better as a "room" and had a good staff.
  4. Reminds me of the days when Massa had the "employees" entertain the folks.
  5. I find it really depressing folks look forward to mp3s. I've wasted thousands.
  6. Bunch of great stuff. It will take a long time to digest. Hope you live that long.
  7. This encapsulates a reservation I have for all I have heard. He never (for me) breaks loose and becomes amazing. I hope for that.
  8. That was my first thought.
  9. They don't have any archive that I'm aware of other than the analog masters. They probably still have the CD mother stamper somewhere in the pressing plant, but they don't have any kind of library of all the CDs they've ever made. say WHAT? Yeah, that does not make sense. They should have every format version in some sort of master. BUT this is the same company that can't find any tapes of the AEC masters made in 1969 and 1970. Did I ever mention I have tapes?
  10. It is a farewell "boil". Her loss.
  11. He's getting her ready to boil. :-)

  13. Yeah, Bud's got good taste. More Criss Cross titles than I ever knew existed too... Back in the day Bud bought those SteepleChases from me. On his way out of town (for his move from Chicago to Seattle) he stopped by my office and loaded his U-Haul with records. Good guy.
  14. Happy Birthday and thanks for your help in the past.
  15. Some of it.
  16. Most is solo from the early days.
  17. Buy the disc.
  18. "Get away from that wheelbarrow Leroy! You know you don't know nuthin' 'bout machinery!" anyone know the reference?
  19. Just finished my ration on Johnny Walker Red. Next is a cup of milk with dinner.
  20. 12 right now. 11 when Ann went snowshoeing this afternoon. Made sure she had her cell so she could call if she was dying.
  21. Depends on who is claimed as composer on the licenses filed by the record company.
  22. That's probably all you need unless you are completely knocked out and can't live without more. Maybe a recording of the piano concerto will finish it for you.
