Relax boys, it's almost over. Free downloads have seen to that. In the future look for "blogs" with copies of unissued stuff. They will show up. Then you can whine about the days when "real" stuff in updated mastering was available. At that point all "fans" can bitch about the news of masters being destroyed/disposed of by the copyright holders, as a cost saving measure. The Universal/MCA fire is nothing.
  17. HB! You've been around a long time - wish you'd post more often.
  18. Never saw a Jazzland reissue - this was a Riverside. Don't let the OJC go. If you are into this kind of thing I have a Jazzland reissue of the Wilbur Ware session.
  19. Roy Palmer - trombone. That recognition sent me to my library and I discovered - "Sugar Johnny" tpt, Lawrence Duhe clarinet, Wellman Braud bass. Doesn't look like Braud to me but that is what it says in the Keepnews/Grauer Pictorial History of Jazz.
  20. When I first heard these LP's in the 1970's, I thought it was odd that the applause was in stereo! It didn't take long to figure out that it had been dubbed in. When I mentioned this to Gene Norman he feigned ignorance.
