  1. Can you link to the video?
  2. Worthy enterprise. Unless you have "bucks" committed elsewhere, get in line.
  3. Haven't heard it, but BMG currently has it in the clearance section for $1.99... so I bit. Not as good a the Columbia sessions but a good big band date with Al Cohn charts. The band includes Joe Newman, Snooky Young, Markie Markowitz, Bernie Glow, "Phil Anquill", Budd Johnson, Zoot Sims, Sol Schlinger, Billy Byers, Jimmy Cleveland, Willie Dennis, Urbie Green, Patti Bown, Freddie Green, Milt Hinton and Gus Johnson. Not much over a half hour if you buy "music by the pound".
  4. Devlin Tune Tommy Tune Tommy Boy
  5. The Monk/Nelson project was enough for me. I refused to purchase the lp though I'm a Monk completest.
  6. Still listening to It's Time and got curious about a couple of things: This is McBee's 2nd BN gig (he was on a Moncur date a month earlier) and it was Roy's last BN gig. Just noted it is Tolliver's BN debut.
  7. Now this. I've been concentrating on Herbie and he is very interesting - sometimes in sync with the music, sometimes impeding the flow but always trying something.
  8. Please remove your shoes before coming in the house.
  9. actually, today it's the noncarbonated bell's expedition stout. Last brew I consumed (Fri nite) was Bell's Winter White Ale. Nice stuff.
  10. What are you guys talking about? Isn't anyone going to help the poor fellow?
  11. That is correct.
  12. Please stop shouting my carbonated friend.
  13. SHIT
  14. Ditch the avatar Jim. It's bugging me.
  15. Boy I hope Weezie offers you gallons of very expensive beer!
  16. Hey Hardie, is there a reason for your typos? Is this supposed to be an "attention getter" or do you have a problem?
  17. Much better "background music" out there.
  18. AND will Wal Mart carry it?
  19. So what's with the title? Do all the guys on the cd have........................................
  20. Bunch of regret about these going out of print - and not on my shelves. The FF were a group I saw live (3 or 4 times) in my early jazz days. Nostalgia tugs. I like Bailey a bunch but can't justify the $$$. Maybe in my next life I'll win a lottery or something.
  21. IMO, Roscoe's most recent recorded work is far beyond anything Moye has ever done. Jarman is not in good health and is not playing well for some time but his "conceptions" are beyond Moye. Don Moye is a master percussionist and I mean no disrespect to his work - it is just on another level.
