I received an email directed from another jazz bb. The guy asked about my AE set and said I could respond to his Yahoo account. The message also included the address he posted from. I sent a message to the Yahoo account and received this message: ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<xxxxx@yahoo.com>
(reason: 553 VS10-RT Possible forgery or deactivated due to abuse (#5.1.1) 209.225.28.130)
Then I sent a message to the address posted from and received this: ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<xxxxx@prestigemed.com>
(reason: 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable)
Finally I responded though the jazz bb email system.
What do you think?
If I understand correctly, this is a thread complaining about the "unavailability" of stuff the complainer already had (at least in part). Did I miss something?

Really specialized question Al. You want folks to find one title in a store's database after you failed? I understand the problem and have encountered it myself, but always had enough "wants" to "fill the cart". I think it might be time to move on and buy that sucker somewhere else.
Two bits to relate:
I was with Ira Gitler in a restaurant when Roy walked in. Ira shouted out "Hag nes" and Roy cracked up. They explained a club in NY misspelled his name on the marquee once.
JR Monterose said he and Roy used to shop for threads in the "kids" section of Macy's.
What a treasure Roy Haynes is and what a preasure to have him among us.
Surely to avoid irony this needs to be followed by a smiley of some sort ? Perhaps one of these :
Ars gratia artis.....
and I want to avoid irony because?
I heard that band in a small club and the overpowering sound of the band will last a lifetime. His sound was larger in person than I'd suspected from the records.
He always seemed to be comfortable in his skin. Not many can say that.
I'd be happy for you to check your closet but I DO have the Cherry AND Lacy dates mentioned. In the mid '70s Nesuhi had offered to sell them to me and copies were sent. This was through Cuscuna (Atlantic employee at the time). The masters died in the fire but I still have my copies and Michael certainly kept a set for himself.
I took a cassette dub of both dates to Texas when I visited Jim Sangrey a few years ago. He and Brenda hosted a party and it was played for the folks there.
