  1. Bill Hardman's Home on Muse. What a lovely date with Junior Cook, Slide Hampton, Mickey Tucker, Chin Suziki, Victor Jones and Lawrence Killian.
  2. By coincidence I made a cdr of my Emarcy lp last week.
  3. I just think it's a boring record. Nothing "definitive", just a seasoned opinion.
  4. Forget this one. Let it go.
  5. ...taking the risk of being stoned! Being stoned has something to do with risk?
  6. You are not as bright as I'd hoped. Only "half bright" it seems.
  7. I do not understand why anyone stays with BMG and does not move to Yourmusic. What is wrong with $5.99 and no shipping?
  8. and life goes on. We all have 'em.
  9. You have to remember it was almost 20 years ago and the chance to issue "rare material" in the newer medium was a big deal. Getting stuff out was the big deal, no time to sweat the details. Lots of shortcuts were taken, just to get material reissued and in the public mind. "Hey, we have this new printing press, screw the fonts". Books a-plenty!
  10. I think a Celeron is fine for your needs, especially since you don't play a lot of complicated games.
  11. When I recently changed from dial-up, all my neighbors told me to avoid Verizon. They had all tried it and left 'cause of lousy service - basically a f*** you attitude. The locals all feel Verizon thinks of themselves as a "phone company" and don't really want to be bothered with "other stuff". YMMV.
  12. Yes.
  13. Not Roscoe's daughter. Her site HERE should answer your questions.
  14. Just wanna point out a bunch of the stuff in LWayne's "reissue" list is being issued for the first time - maybe the majority. Don't have time to do the time counts. So, what is a "reissue"?
  15. A quick check of my collection reveals over 70 Beethoven symphonies, including J. A. W.'s very fine recommendations. A very fine set, available inexpensively and easy to overlook is Cluytens/Berlin on EMI. These late '50s recordings have delighted whenever I play them. I was introduced to them via a Seraphim box in the very early '70s.
  16. I take it you're referring to the Budapest CDs? Yes.
  17. Sadly, both volumes are out of print.
  18. Currently available at Yourmusic.
  19. Looks like it rolled down hill.
  20. Though not in the "new arrivals" section, Blakey's "Drum Suite" is back as well. I hate it when they do that. Instead of feeding all the negativity on this board, couldn't you just thank me for showing you the way to "pounding a' plenty"?
  21. I ain't sorry for shit!
  22. GEEEEEZ!! Howard friggin' Roberts. Extremely competent guy. No Mosaic, no way. I'd prefer a Manny Klein set by a mile. On the other hand, if you want to send ME $40, I'll see what I can do.
  23. Great attitude D. Thanks for your efforts.
