  10. Steve, I have one too (maybe 2 copies) and don't want to get rid of them. Mention of this reminded me, I knew the Monk piece (and cover) was done and was knew the publication date. I bugged my local news vendor to save a couple for me (like there would be a rush). The whole Time "event" was set in motion because of the impending big band concert at Lincoln Center. The cover/piece was scrapped by the JFK shooting. Luckily, they revived it 90 days later.

  12. During the summer of 1961 our church youth group had a national convention in Miami Beach. Around a half dozen from our congregation went and each of us was to return with a report on a speaker at the convention. I selected MLK. A close 2nd was Wernher Von Braun! Today I remembered he gave me a small book and went hunting for it. I found it on the shelf - The Measure of a Man - a tiny 34 page hardcover, dust cover in place. Amazing.
  13. Pacific Jazz set and Bruyninckx say it is from the reunion.
  14. Why not look for "The Lost Sessions" instead?
  15. What a wonderful example of the "golden ears" on the list. I might come back later to see what's discussed.
  16. Not a spare, but I have the cd and dumped the lp back then. Sorry.
  17. I think all 3 are worthy of comparison but I no longer have a copy of Terry's date.
  18. I searched in vain (Whitehall, Montague and Story City too) for the appropriate smilie.
  19. Am I late? (nah, that's someone else). Is the beer gone? HB.
