  1. 45 years ago, in the dark of the night (naturally) a few hundred negro folks marched to a farm house in central Iowa and abducted me. Can anyone here help me?
  2. Thanks guys, but what about Serenade and Blues?
  3. He'll probably hug you. Get ready for a big MF hug.
  4. The answers in this poll have really depressed me. I thought it was about music/society and (at least for the voters) it is society/music. DAMN!
  5. Geez! I'll try but don't think it's likely - If you have a chance, tell him I love him. Damn.
  6. Likely related to Dennis Day and all the other Days, like Doris and Green.
  7. I have a "dedicated" 78 turntable and about once a year get on a 78 kick.
  8. Roy Palmer on trombone.
  9. Yup.
  10. Only Sarah.
  11. He's on a Thad Jones' Debut date available on OJC.
  12. If you are not interested in playing the damn record you be better off leaving the thing sealed. Equal pressure from 4 sides and all.
  13. It's the "free music" fans, not the free music fans. B-)

    Ravi Coltrane

Why does "che" need reinforcement for his pleasures. Is he trying to draw us out? He's a slippery carp.
  15. Nuther turd in the punchbowl here. You might be opening yo' self to legal problems beyond yo' dreams. You should talk to Lazaro Vega about this. He's on this board.
  16. Connie500 can get the money for you with a couple of keystrokes. We just have to pressure him. B-)
  17. Since Mr Clark does not play on Remembering, it is not in the quartet set. It was released as Standards. The other (first on) King releases with Clark were Gooden's Corner and Oleo. I also want to point out Alfred Lion did not produce Night of the Cookers, though he did release the material.
  18. Sorry I missed it. Thanks for the heads up.
  19. I got it in my cart. Went back a couple days later to place the order and it was gone. My order wound up being just the Granz set, Ellington Centennial, Basie Story and a Norah for the wife - just under $50 for the lot, but NO PARKER. BTW, I think those lucky enough to get the $4.99 price should stop rubbing it in - $5.99 and no shipping is an amazing price.
  20. "Just like an Organissimo poster". B-)
  21. HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. So, is that where the best music is or the most bucks?
  23. All need to remember the first post mentioned the number on the "boc". Anyone else get a boc? If not, I don't think anyone needs to worry about this.
  24. I had the same experience when I worked there.
