  1. There are 28 sealed copies in my office. B-) How may you want?
  2. So, basically the prosecution had people who claimed that Blake discussed having his wife killed, but couldn't make any connection to the crime other than the circumstantial evidence and the fact that it wasn't exactly a strong marriage. I tend to agree with Allen - the prosecution didn't have much of a case and apparently they couldn't push the ball past "beyond and to the exclusion of all reasonable doubt". I'm 100% with Dan on this.
  3. Just me being "mother hen". Sorry to all involved.
  4. Interesting. As the liner notes of the Okka make clear, I turned down the duet with McCall to issue Missing Link. Only so much investment possible.
  5. You kiddies kill me. B-)
  6. I still don't know the "Hank Jones Rules"! I'd guess the first is "don't color outside the lines" but I'm not sure. Now I may never know.
  7. He's also featured on this 1996 Jodie Christian date.

  11. I "pre-ordered" 9 of 'em from cduniverse, checked tonight and see all 3 Art Ensembles and the Frank Wright are backordered.
  12. First post? Who are you and WTF is this?
  13. Do any of our younger members have Michael Jackson stories to share?
  14. On the other hand, a college acquaintance told me of stepping up to a urinal and the guy next to him (Stan Kenton) reached over and "touched"! I do know my "friend" made some money that way. B-)
  15. Total bullshit You go boy!
  16. Yes, the Mainstream Brown/Roach stuff consisted of "leftovers" from Emarcy sessions Shad produced. That stuff is included in the Emarcy Brownie box.
  17. I didn't think you'd get it.
  18. Freddie expresses himself via technique and Lee expresses himself.
  19. Somewhere in my basement is a tape, send by John Carter, of a duet session with Bradford.
  20. There are dozens of great recordings that would not exist without his work. He justified his ego.
  21. I bought the first recording I saw of "Rudepoema" after reading Herbie's notes 40 years ago. David Bean on a budget Victrola, IIRC. What became of him? Time for a Google I guess.
