  1. Man, they are really trying to move the last of these Paich CDs. 7 left and the price is down to $2.89.
  2. The Harry Babasin session. After enjoying Larry Bunker on vibes on the Marty Paich Bethlehem session, I was pleased to see that I had more of Bunker on vibes (and Paich) on this set.
  3. Well worth the $3.19 (now $3.13) on Amazon so far.
  4. The Paich album arrived today. No Berlin Philharmoniker in sight.
  5. Both have a reputation for discrimination, so there's that.
  6. I'll post when I receive it to confirm it's just a weird listing. It has since dropped 6 cents.
  7. Marty Paich's Jazz City Workshop is only $3.19 with free Prime shipping. I think that I have only one Paich appearance. With a strong lineup, it was a pretty easy decision to buy it.
  8. My only date under Andrew White's name. I bought it from him about 11 years ago. I should have picked up the other three volumes and other releases from him. Closing out with:
  9. George Cables has endured through health issues and still sounds beautiful. Happy Birthday, Mr. Cables!
  10. I'm happy to finally have the last of the three discs documenting Hank's final recordings with Elvin. Now I think I just need an album with Sadao Watanabe to have all of Hank's albums with Ron and Tony.
  11. A Bandcamp page offering downloads of his Andrew's Music releases would be fantastic.
  12. Having purchased my first car without a CD player, I am revisiting albums I have on a USB stick. I'll be playing Joe Bonner's Parade, another album with an Ornette connection via Billy Higgins, soon.
  13. Thanks to Michael, I picked up the only one of the Vanguard albums by the trio I didn't have and the remaining album with Richard Davis and Elvin.
  14. I enjoy the live album I have of his as well as the first JFK Quintet album on Riverside. I still have his massive mail-order catalog and a few newsletters he sent me. I always meant to order more albums from him (and they'll probably be impossible to get now). He seemed like a fun character. Thank you for the music, Mr. White, and rest in peace.
  15. I received this yesterday from Michael's sale. Wow. It's rare that I hear an album for the first time and think that it just became an indispensable part of my collection.
  16. Happy Birthday, Mr. Person!
  17. Finished this: Now playing:
