Is it my imagination... or has it been a while since the Mosaic set was update with any NEW info???? (Any informed guesses as to what the next boxed set will be???? I'm dying for a Betty Carter set, myself!)

I'm onto Disc 4 and really like this... I'm thrilled to grab this OOP set... I'm still shocked that this was available... The longbox format is fine with me... Does anyone know exactly WHICH Mosaic sets get the longbox treatment? (And why?) I assume the Basie that's up for sale over at the uk amazon site, is longbox???

Going back to McCoy Select.... (Never have too much McCoy.... ) Disc 3... Now Disc 1....

Well it arrived today... Its a long box format and it looks like the the liner notes are in the same format. I haven't opened it yet... but I'm glad I got this LONG gone set.... If it looks like a Mosaic, sounds like a Mosaic..... then it must be....

Can we come to the cafe??? How existential!

But having read the other threads that is the German one... right? I bought mine from amazon.co.uk. not amazon.de and I've seen the other picture. The picture on the UK website looks just like a Mosaic cover....

Cool... yeah it caught me by surprise as to how good it was....

thanks Claude.... but now I'm even more confused... So what is the difference between the one I just bought & the original Mosaic set?? (I didn't buy the German version...)

Good Man.... The Mosaic God is on your side.... Who knows maybe they'll drop you an extra set or something? And I answered him earlier today, as soon as I got the email from Mosaic. Also ordered the Ellington "Cosmic Scene" and "The Jazz Piano" singles to take advantage of the shipping cost. I'm on a strict "Running Low" diet with Mosaic these days, and Max was definitely on my list.

I completely concur... I was on the fence on this for a loonnggggg time.... but when I did my Splurge (like $600 or something late last year) I got this one... and I'm thoroughlly glad.... It surprised me greatly... Oh Ron...S..... Max is calling your name,,,

Oliver Nelson Disc 2... 2nd go around on this set.... I liked it a lot better than I thought I would... now an out or order Disc V..

Just finished Disc 3 and I'm liking it a little more... but I think you're right I listened to the clips on the Mosaic site the other day and I wasn't impressed. Lift music as far as I could tell. Perhaps their live session might be a better place to start. I'm a big fan of the Jazz Crusaders but the live albums are their best work by a long chalk. MG

Jazz Crusaders - Disc 1... I'm finding this a little disappointing.... Hope it gets better....

Finishing up the recent OOP Classic Capitol Jazz Sessions... Disc 12... It was worth every penny.... I hope those of you who were in doubt, took the plunge. This is really great stuff....

Bud Shank Select Disc 2... I don't what you guys say... this is GREAT Stuff!!!! For those of who didn't get it... grab it now... Ron... did you get it?
