Classic Capitol Sessions Disc 2.... I don't know how often I will listen to this set... but I do like it....

No matter how they're doing... I've come to realization (sign of getting older) that good things don't last forever... At some point it will cease to exist and we will all be quite depressed until we play those Art Blakey, Lou Donaldson, Art Pepper, Tal Farlow sets.... I have come to peace that I/we are quite fortunate to have Mosaic around for as long as we have and we've got access to this stuff..... So cough up the $$$ ad get what you want....!!! Hopefully I will live to 80 and I'll drop before they will .... but.... I won't be shocked if they go first...

Golson-Farmer Discs 4 & 6.. I know this set doesn't work for some of this board.... But the more I listen the more I love it... Quickly coming to one of my Top 5/10 Mosaics...

Finished up the set with Discs 5 and 6 today... Overall I really liked this set! Why isn't anyone else playing it? talking about it?

Oliver Nelson Disc 3.... I REALLY LIKE the Musical Tribute to JFK: The Kennedy Dream... Very respectful, evocative.... Really, really nice...

now Disc 2... so far I like it... Disc 1 Oliver Nelson.... Don't hear too much talk about this one ...

2nd spin on McCoy Select Discs 1 & 2... Enjoying it much more this time around....

Disc 6... I have to say I'm enjoying this set far more than I expected!!! Hey Ron and Mag Goldberg - Have you picked this set up, yet???

I was over all the AAJ BB and noticed three or four different posts about people selling their Mosaics... and started thinking that there are some people who simply buy the Mosaics for a) resale profitability and/or b) novelty (it's nice to have something that is OOP, that other people don't have) and/or c) don't know or care about the Mosaics and are simply addicted to the whole "collectable" thing... I know (at least I think I know.... ) that none of us over here operate with those motives... I know for me EVERY mosaic I buy... is based on a love for and/or a curiousity about a particular artist... Sometimes it's a dud, sometimes a home run but it ALWAYS and ONLY about the music and the musicians (and wanting to support the company...) I don't begrudge any one who has multiple motivations for buying them when at least the main one is a love of the music... I do find it disheartening when the dominant/sole reason is resale profitability... I have not nor will I ever sell my Mosaics... (now what my daughter does with them when I croak is another story... ) That's my story! and i'm sticking to it...

I just finished Ellington Disc 2... and it was fab... I really enjoyed it....

Finished Discs 6 and 7 this morning of the Eldridge... Overall an excellent surprise... Now onto Duke... Disc 1....

Okay I'm on Disc V.... and overall still

Roy Eldridge Disc 1 and 2... I was very hesitant about this one... and I only took the plunge 'cause I had an $88 credit at Mosaic having returned the Sidney Bechet & Weston Selects.... So far..... We'll see how I feel by Disc 6....

Just finished Disc 3 of the Hutcherson Set... Overall Excellent....!!!

My juvenile ears are thoroughly enjoying the 2nd CD of the Hutcherson Select.. God it so good not to have to listen to "adult music." *IMHO This is heading to the one of the best selects I've seen..."

Don't u realize that we are all immature adolescents with way too much disposable income who don't like paying our bills, mortgage, cars, kids,etc.. and all we want to do is preorder the juvenile sounds of McCoy Tyner...

Bobby Hutcherson Select Disc 1.. off to a GREAT start with Rosewood - track 1...
