The background vocals on the 1st half of Disc 3 are killing me... I hate that stuff. (Same reason why I trashed the Dinah Washington set)... Now it's onto the Xmas part of Disc 3.. so far I'm liking this part....

Just started the controversial Duke Pearson Select - Disc 3.... This is nasty.... I hope it gets MUCH better - FAST! Otherwise this puppy might be on it's way back to Stamford Ct.....

As I grade final exams... it's a Mosaic weekend... Onto Curtis Amy Select disc 3... It's funny when I first bought this set... I hated it... (Only gave it one listen and thought it had WAY too much organ...) I then gave it away.... After hearing some more raves on this board.. I decided my premature jettisoning of the set was wrong... Right now I'm digging it... So to all of you who plugged this set.... Thanks!

Okay - Overall I give it a moderate thumbs up... I Discs 1 and 2 much better than three... Just started Disc 3.... coming down in my enthusiam a tiny bit....

Just finished listening to the Lee Wiley Single.... Didn't really work for me.. I didn't have any of her stuff and thought this was a good intro... I swear... Mosaic hit it big with the Anita O'Day set but IMHO every other vocal set

Please do and let us know what they say.... Me too, even though I have almost all on LP. Anyone heard when it is actually shipping? I am probably going to drop them a quick note if no one else has any news.

Either not many of us have not purchased this set yet or are backed up in Mosaic queue but the lack of enthusiasm for this set is a little unnerving.... What gives?

I'm eager to listen to this.. (Been way backed up and too far too busy.... ) but I don't think I've seen ONE single comment on this set?? What's the scoop? And why the silence????

Buddy Rich Disc 4... I know some of this board this is the equivalent of giving Wynton a Mosaic set.. but I like this set!!!

Anita - Disc 9... a belated tribute.. Damn she was good on this set!!! Personally I think is by far the best vocal set Mosaic has come out with... Those of you who didn't cough up the cash before it went OOP -

Sidney Bechet - Disc 2.. . the good news... Some GREAT blowing!!! The bad news.. WAY too many alternate takes... 12 of the 19 tunes are alternate takes...
