The only thing I know about Myles Boisen is, that he is record review editor of internet store Roots and Rhythm, has contributed to Down-Home Guide to the Blues and the San Francisco Weekly magazine, and is editor and contributor for the newsletter of the Improvised Music Association.

  19. Any chance they're open on a Sunday, Hans? I'm passing through the Netherlands on a Sunday - Tuesday morning... Ah, you got me there - post edited. Thanks, Daniel.
  20. Understand she could be a pain... but considering the fact that she stood by Bird in very adverse times, I am inclined to forgive her a lot. But why are we using the past tense when speaking of her? I think she is still around, or am I wrong? Chan Parker died in 1999 (click here)
  21. If you plan to visit Groningen, here's a nice jazz and blues CD and LP shop: Swingmaster Kruitlaan 21 9711 TW Groningen phone (within the Netherlands): 050 3124020 They're closed on Sundays and Mondays. The shop is owned by RVG's relative Sem van Gelder and blues expert Leo Bruin.
