  1. I'd file 'em under "both"
  2. Persuaded by your recommendation and a few sound samples on AMG, I just ordered Blood Sutra and Black Water from CD Connection.
  3. Strange, the link couw and I provided works for me... It's not the same as yours.
  4. Exactly.
  5. Do you mean this thread in the "New releases" forum? Perhaps it should be moved to the "Reissues" forum.
  6. I noticed when I checked my order status that they had automatically lowered the price of my order. I double checked Quicken and indeed they had. They didn't automatically lower the price of my pre-order, so, like jlhoots, I cancelled my order and re-ordered the set at the lower price.
  7. Or the overseas evening crowd
  8. If Mosaic would indeed go ahead with the (hybrid) SACD option, I'd really hope they'd let Malcolm Addey or people like Doug Sax or Steve Hoffman do the remastering; I agree with Claude that Ron McMaster's Select remasters were not the best, euphemistically speaking...
  9. It's not listed on their website (yet) and they only ship within the United States and to Australia, England, Canada and Japan. Their shipping rates outside North America for sets containg more than 4 CDs are pretty steep compared to CDUniverse's.
  10. Indeed.

    Funny Rat

Actually, the later pieces were a bit more interesting (I had listened to this CD only halfway through when I posted earlier; I didn't manage it right through the end, but later decided to listen to the rest). Have to play it yet again... (sigh)

I've just been listening to this one (for the third time): and it couldn't hold my attention; there's too much noodling going on. Not recommended, unless you're into that kind of thing.
  13. A great victory indeed! Kelly Holmes' win on the 1,500 metres was also memorable after her victory on the 800.
  14. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful!
  15. You're right, but I was merely responding to your posting "If Oscar Peterson was good enough for jazz giants like Coleman Hawkins Ben Webster, Lester Young, Roy Eldridge, Dizzy Gillespie, Count Basie, Billie Holiday, Stuff Smith, Louis Armstrong, he was good enough for me..." I'm not
  16. Well, he was good enough for Norman Granz anyway... Which is OK by me, too. Norman Granz had excellent taste (well... most of the time!). I don't see it that way. However interesting the opinions of others may be, they don't determine what or whom I like or don't like.
  17. Alan Lankin's Jazzmatazz, you mean... Unfortunately he hasn't posted a link yet.
  18. Miles' 7CD-set Seven Steps can now be pre-ordered from CDUniverse for $98.10; street date is September 28, 2004.
  19. That Monk BFT is a classic.
  20. That's good news.
