    Understand she could be a pain... but considering the fact that she stood by Bird in very adverse times, I am inclined to forgive her a lot. But why are we using the past tense when speaking of her? I think she is still around, or am I wrong? Chan Parker died in 1999 (click here)

    As far as I know these are reissues of earlier but fairly recent Japanese remasters. At least some of them were listed in a "Japanese reissues" thread on this board a while ago. The sound is great.

    So the best we can hope for is a Legacy-like programme? That would be far better than anything that BMG/RCA/Bluebird has on offer at the moment! The RCA "First Editions" reissues of Sonny Rollins' The Bridge and Paul Desmond / Gerry Mulligan's Two of a Mind are beautiful, though.
