  3. What a great thread, dating back to 2003! I came across this in the comments section this morning and thought y'all'd be interested. http://www.amazon.com/Natural-Essence-Tyrone-Washington/dp/B00005GKBQ
  4. Please keep us posted. Glad you two are ok.
  5. Thank you.
  6. Great story. I'd love to read the review. Post it to Stomp!
  7. Chuck, will you give an example of when it is worth it for an engineer to use compression? From my limited exposure to this kind of thing, much of what has been written above, similes and metaphors etc., has completely obscured the subject. I guess what I am asking is for you to put it in layman's terms without describing the layman.
  8. Another rec for the Lyons set.
  9. You could click manually choose theme and it worked much better. This new skin is the goods though!
  10. I just go to the site like I always have. It seems there was a Software upgrade last week because the board looks optimized for iPhone now. No download necessary.
  11. jmjk... I don't think I've read anything from you in a while!
  12. There was a nice upgrade to the mobile software about a week ago. I like.
  13. I'm here to learn how to look cool. Online.
  14. I haven't referred to either in a very long time. They were both essential for me when I first started developing my interest in jazz though.
  15. Front and Center on Trix is highly recommended. This is a live recording that is as intimate a performance as anything I own. In my mind, it always paired with Boogie Chillun. Makes sense that he travelled so extensively with John Lee Hooker. I'll pull that disc off the shelf this week.
  16. I have been absolutely mesmerized by Andy Goldsworthy ever since I saw the documentary. Also, Theo Jansen. See here: http://www.google.com/search?q=kinetic+art&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#q=kinetic+sculpture+theo+jansen&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=YCT&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=ivnso&source=univ&tbs=vid:1&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=P-drTaLVGImctweO96nmAg&sqi=2&ved=0CDkQqwQ&bav=on.1,or.&fp=ed95a43a1d6a1527 Both are just brilliant, and on very different spectrum.
  17. Damn. I have an album of his called "Front And Center" that I really like. I bought it used on a whim years ago and listen to it fairly often. I didn't know his history. RIP.
  18. A new album?? Is there a release date? I am fascinated by this music.
  19. Looks to me like you boys have solved another one. And in record time.
  20. Either way he looks like he's on something. Dots.
  21. Not too soon to try those new chompers on a birthday cake I hope! Have a great day!
  22. I think everyone is over-saturated with loyalty marketing. Borders, among other grand mistakes, perhaps never realized the inherent weaknesses. They were only selling to their existing and dwindling customer base.
  23. Very very interested. Help me with an explanation for my wife.
