  1. I just listened to this for the first time, and was very impressed!
  2. Globe Unity Orchestra - Globe Unity 2002 (1:14:05) Globe Unity Orchestra - 20th Anniversary (1:06:42) (I hope these two count!)
  3. The new Peter Brotzmann Chicago Tentet - Walk, Love, Sleep
  4. I'd recommend any Bergman with Brotzmann. Beside the above, there are the wonderful Blue Zoo, and Ride Into the Blue.
  5. ,,,, is still "stuckified" up top? Seems like it could go away by now, no?
  6. Does he really "ram it, ram it, ram it up" her poop chute??
  7. Akira Sakata Built To Spill Portland Bike Ensemble (bicycles are the only instruments)
  8. I found Lumi to be good, but not great. The earlier Vesala, the better. I recommend "Nana"; "Satu"; "Twet" (under Stanko's name), "Hot Lotta" (with Brotzmann!!); etc. And those early Juhani Aaltonen albums with Vesala were real kickers!!
  9. Really looking forward to this Mike Osborne Trio release in March, on Cadillac! (I cannot get the pdf link on the bottom of the thread to work, though): http://forums.allaboutjazz.com/showpost.php?p=586174&postcount=3218
  10. While I love Bob Wills to death, there's really no better homage/cover/whatever-you-call-it than the very excellent Pine Valley Cosmonauts salute to him. It's a 5-star gem of an album. http://www.bloodshotrecords.com/album/salute-majesty-bob-wills
  11. Peter Brotzmann. and lately, lots of Japanese free jazz artists
  12. Is listening to Bitter Funeral Beer, whilst hoisting a few beers!
  13. It's no Yankees, but it's worth a listen once a year.
  14. This one is great, too. Grab it!
  15. How can all you dissing Poptarts not like their classic "Driver 8?" (shakes head in amazement)
  16. Just listened to this gem for the first time. I think it's great
  17. Starlicker - Double Demon Rob Mazurek never ceases to amaze me.
  18. Hmmm... I misread the thread title. I originally saw Henry Rollins.
  19. Wormworth?? Is that kinda like Wordsworth?
  20. Hey, Steve... I saw your mention on Jazzcorner. That's where I got the idea. I've enjoyed Corsano and Flaherty before. It's just a hair below Corsano with Dunmall on Monster Club, but still nice nonetheless. FWIW - Monster Club is Corsano with Dominic Lash and Tony Bevan...is 'Identical Sunsets' the duo with Paul??? Dang, I don't know why, but I always confuse Bevan with Dunmall! And yes, "Identical" is a duo.

  22. Lol Coxhill (First and last. I'd assume the first as in "Jelly Lol Morton", but I may be wrong)
  23. I know the "Terje" part, but what about the "Rypdal" part? (sorry, too lazy to search all 11 pages of this thread to see if it's aforementioned.)
