I ended up using the new Micromega player in my bedroom as it sounds better with the Micromega MyAmp amplifier than with the Marantz. With the latter I had to turn the volume up so much that the neighbours started complaining. In my (smaller) bedroom I am closer to the speakers (Focal as in the living room) and the higher frequencies are more prominent. And the CD-30 sounds excellent, very detailed, with the MyZic / Focal Spirit Classic combination. I'm satisfied.

I had a closer look at the Apollo catalogue in the Lord Disco, and it seems Delmark has covered pretty much everything that's interesting, in artist-centered CDs or thematic compilations. Could be that some tracks are lost even though they were on 78s, maybe the Crosbys are among them. They were never sold on discogs. The master numbers on these labels suggest there were six titles recorde, but Lord list only four and has 1243 instead of 1246.

Just my thoughts. -
Yes the waiting time for the day care and rehabilitation financing is six months. He has not had any income for more than two years. There are several facebook pages with more details.

Quoted from the GoFundMe page linked: " We are appealing to you on behalf of legendary master percussionist/drummer Airto Moreira for help with his physical rehabilitation. After a recent and challenging battle with pneumonia, Airto was finally released from the hospital and is now back at his apartment in Curitiba, Brazil. The experience has left him extremely fragile and with very minimal corporal mobility. He cannot perform the most basic daily tasks without assistance and requires the support of a professional caregiver. In addition, he also requires bi-weekly home visits from a registered nurse, as well as medication. He also needs extensive treatments and particular physical therapy to recover as much of his corporal mobility as possible. Airto and his family need your help with this overwhelming task! He has no medical insurance and is currently on a waiting list to receive governmental assistance. However, the wait time for his age group is a minimum of six months, and it could take up to a year for him to get just some of the governmental support he requires. We hope that together we can all generate the resources he urgently needs to support his recovery and inspire him on the uphill journey back to himself. A tribute concert for Airto is on the way in the spirit of this endeavor. The target is mid-September to early October. Look for updates on this and Airto's progress here on the Go Fund Me page, and with our sincerest gratitude, we thank you all for your prayers, good vibes, love and support!! " GoFundMe Flora Purim posted on facebook she does her best but they need support.

Okay, then plug in the strings, too, and rock it! -
There are several Prestige issues from the 1960's with false personnel credits.

Bach Rewrite - Fender Rhodes & String Orchestra!
mikeweil replied to Rooster_Ties's topic in New Releases
"Rewrite" is totally inappropriate as a title, since they didn't change one note. If they want to play it on their favourite keyboard instruments, it's their business. But my main complaint is that the volume balance between keyboards and strings is artificial, made at the mixing board. If volume issues were their main concern, they could have used amplified harpsichords. We still do not know exactly what keyboard Bach used in his Cafe Zimmermann concerts when a newly innovated instruments was announced. It could have been a two or even three manual harpsichord with a 16 " register, or a Silbermann pianoforte. I cannot help think that string players back then played differently and softer when accompanying keyboards - there are some sources leading to that conclusion. And, only one player per part was the regular group size. This was chamber music, to be performed in smaller rooms. I have no idea how it sounded outside in the Zimmermann garden. But there is an early 18th century engraving with a large three manual harpsichord used in a courtyard. Performances on harpsichords of the type Bach used still are rare. They are still many possibilities to try without plugging in. -

Aretha Franklin live at Salle Wagram, Paris, 1977, with orchestra under the direction of H.B. Barnum - as seen on Stingray DJazz, a broadcaster from the Netherlands, so it seems, now offered by our TV/Internet provider. She works hard to make sure she earns a place among the great female entertainers/singers between jazz and soul. But she's not relaxed while doing so.
