  8. Glad to hear the JT is still there...fond and blurred memories of a 40th birthday celebration there. Other really nice pub in the area used to be The Peasant on St.Johns Street
  9. Oh yes, for a few years it was the post work local along with the Belgian beer bar in Jerusalem Passage. I loved working round there when it was on the cusp of changing
  10. Ordered mine too
  11. Thanks for the tips Steve. I agree wholeheartedly about Leandre and shall look to get this set I think. I wish that Not Two would set up a Bandcamp site though. I hope you enjoy the rest of your Xmas haul. I'm intrigued by the "slick self-importance", I'd be interested to know which releases you detect this in Anyway, my last Squidco order was: Artifacts - And then there is XT - Pah' Shocron/Parker/Diaz El Templo All three worthy of a good listen with perhaps the second having the potential to fall within your description but that's as much about presentation as the music itself

  20. Ordered mine here https://madaboutrecordslabel.bandcamp.com/album/tete-mbambisa-tetes-big-sound
  21. I've been drinking non-alcoholic beer since August. Brewdog's 'Nanny State' tastes best chilled but has the best name. Their 'Punk AF' is drinkable too. I had a very good non-alcoholic stout recently but forget the name. I didn't realise Leffe did a non-alcoholic version, I hope that makes it to UK. I'll try the Guiness. edit to add: I have found Leffe 0.0 is here
  22. Irreversible Entanglements - Open The Gates [International Anthem, 2021] I nearly bought a copy of that this week but resisted
