Gimme a break. What, I'm gonna search 2,000 threads to see if someone said it first? Can we talk about Kenny and Duke, please? Anybody? It's not so much checking to see if anyone has "said it first", rather it's to keep all of our discussion about a particular topic generally in one thread. It makes it a helluva lot easier to go back and find previous discussions, and add to them, when there is only one thread on a particular album, rathen than 7. Probably helps keep the database a little easier to manage (for the administrators) and helps improve search times and process times, too. I agree with Dan in that you have valid comments, and they deserve to be on the board. The placement of them belong in the existing thread on this album though, not in a new thread.

Borrowing and burning illegal copies of in-print music surely isn't helping anyone - the artists, the labels, or the mom and pop stores...

I don't have any of Kennedy's recordings, nor am I familiar with him, but at least he's not *yet another* singer-songwriter that BN is forcing down our throats. Looks like there are some good musicians working on this project (DeJohnette, Carter, Lovano) and there are some covers of classic BN material. I'm willing to try this out, over an Amos Lee, Keren Ann, etc., all of whom may be perfectly fine musicians, but still aren't what I consider BN artists.

Very sorry to hear about your situation, Paul. It will get easier over time, as do all things. A change of location may be a good way to energize you and help you start over. I was married for 8 years. I was 30 when I got married, and my wife was 28, so we weren't necessarily a young couple. But I think we rushed into the marriage without getting to know each other well enough, first. May have been a "biological clock" thing for both of us, wanting to settle down, have kids, and so forth. So I think we both had some blinders on with regards to the other person, not really seeing them as they were. As we began our family, we also began drifting apart. We didn't really have many common interests or things to talk about. After a while, it felt like we were roommates more than soulmates. My divorce was final two years ago. We have two kids, and share joint physical custody, meaning they live with me for a week, with their mother for a week, and back and forth like that. We live close enough to each other now that its not too big a problem going back and forth for them, or too disruptive. As they get older we'll see how the situation works for them. Personally, I'm alot happier now than during the last couple of years of my marriage. We considered staying together for the kid's sake, but ultimately decided it would be better for them to see us apart (and happy) rather than together (and miserable). I think we're better role models for them that way too.

I saw an interview with his mother the other day, apparently they're Quakers or something (?). She had to ride a bike (in her very conservative clothing) over to someone else's house in order to watch the Tour finale. Apparently they don't own a car. Maybe the USPS Team should start scouring the Quaker & Amish communites for strong bike riders in the future

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? I am! Cowboys Training Camp starts on Friday, finally! They've got two of their rookies signed, but not the first rounder, LB Bobby Carpenter, who should be a starter come regular season. Hopefully there are alot of signing all around the league in the next couple days. I'm still curious how T.O. is going to perform this year, and what drama will unfold around him. I can't imagine how much animosity there must be for him in Philadelphia still, and bet they're really looking forward to the Dallas visit on October 8th. Will there be a sequel to the applauding when Michael Irvin was partially paralyzed there, or the batteries packed inside snowballs that were hurled at Jimmy Johnson? Biggest question mark on the team remains how the offensive line will perform. Across the board there are question marks, at each position. If they can't protect Drew "Air Concrete" Bledsoe, it could be a long year.
