  1. i also was in his company in the '70s but mostly at his Club in L.A. he was a funny, totally wild guy but most everyone already knew that!
  2. It's my recollection that he admitted to sleeping with young boys. He just denied molesting them when he was in bed with them. That's enough to make me disregard whatever talent he had, and whatever music he created. That and the fact that he paid millions of dollars to the family of the boy, who then refused to testify in the criminal case. No, we can't claim to know, but the circumstantial evidence sure seems to suggest it pretty clearly. that Chandler boy has admitted that he lied years ago and was forced to do so by his father who wanted to make some $$$!!!!!!!!!!
  3. how many concerts will be cancelled on this world tour?
  4. Charlie Mariano Scholarship Fund at Berklee For those who are interested, the Mariano family has set up the Charlie Mariano Scholarship Fund at the Berklee College of Music. 10. very sad but not surprising. i think he had been suffering with respiratory problems for years. even performed wearing his oxygen. a huge loss for our music.

  15. the obit was actually in today's paper which is why i didn't see it yesterday. apparently, from what i heard, he had sadly been neglecting his respiratory problems until three weeks ago! Kenny was a magical talent. i will really miss him but am very grateful for what he's left behind for his fans.
  16. i don't know how i missed this in today's paper! i found this out earlier this evening and am extremely saddened. Kenny was such a unique talent. hard to imagine being diagnosed with lung cancer and passing three weeks later!! guess there were some other complications. what a loss!
  17. without reading the book, that was my first thought. very sad.
  18. you said it very well. thank goodness i got to hear him innumerable times!
  19. i had an amazing experience last weekend: i went to a gallery exhibit where i was surrounded by over 70 Mingus album covers and old vinyl recordings of his!
