  1. I believe that Worlds Records has them. I haven't done any price comparisons. http://www.worldsrecords.com Search under Classics.

Thanks. I'll put it on my short list.
  3. If you don't have the Complete Village Vanguard Sessions, you should drop everything and go get it now! I've listened to all 4 CDs twice recently, & couldn't agree more.
  4. If it comes out in 5 years, we'll be "lucky".
  5. I was at the same show. Your assessment is excellent. I bought the CD.
  6. 65 & sunny. No precip. in about 4 months. The whole place will probably go up in flames soon, but it sure has been nice out (except for those who want to ski).

There's a relatively new one called Winter Birds that looks interesting. Haven't heard it. Anyone have it??
  8. Yes - I agree. Those are good. I have the 2-fer also.
  9. That's a question for your ears to answer. i can't tell any difference. then why are you wasting your money? better to buy new music by new artists, or at least recordings by artists you don't already own. that's what i'm doing. My thoughts exactly. Keep the older ones, avoid the remasters. I also agree with this.
  10. There's one at Amazon, BUT the guy wants $69.99 for it.
  11. I got mine really cheap (not $1.51) in that Zweit. sale a while back. Great music.
  12. The McLean is one of my favorite Mosaics. If I didn't have it (fortunately I do), I'd pay the asking price to get it. Just my 2 cents.
  13. I have Clubhouse but not Landslide. So -guess what, I'd prefer Landslide.
  14. I remember his playing very well. Would be great to hear him again.

The Water Is Wide & Canto are both worthwhile too (IMHO)>
  16. I'm not a "fanatic", but I like 'em.
  17. Those are 2 great choices. I really like the OOP Live Mosaic, but the last one on e-bay sold for around $700. At the other end of the spectrum you could get the (you should pardon the expression) Proper Box (4 CDs) for around $20 & go from there.
  18. I'm not sure what this has to do with anything, but she was really good in that movie where Woody Harrelson played Larry Flynt.
  19. Coming to Albuquerque too.
  20. That's very true. Unfortunately I've known a couple of people (OK, idiots) who don't play Riot at all because they can't tolerate the sound of the CD. (It's not that bad...sheeeesh.) But if one is really picky get the comp, find a copy of Riot and reburn a Riot from the comp and the one leftover song. Or maybe there's an iTunes option for the orphan Riot song. Things were easier when there was just the LP! The 8 songs from Riot on the comp. are all in a row. I don't know if they're in the same order as on the original LP.
  21. Me too.

    Billy Taylor

That was a long "no comment". Please post a photo of yourself so we can compare.
  23. I have a 2 CD "Essential" set that includes 8 cuts from There's A Riot Goin' On & a bunch of other good stuff.
  24. I had heard that something was in the works with the Lloyd Columbia material. I'll probably get the Blakey too.
  25. I'm glad I didn't watch.
