Just received an e-mail from Berkeley Hills Books in response to my inquiry.
It states that due to "circumstances beyond our control" the book has been "long delayed".
They project having it in stores "in about three months".
And promo. blurbs by Greil Marcus & Francine Prose.
Excellent read.
Wonder why it didn't get promoted more on release. Probably because of the niche market for the subject material.
Well - this thread certainly turned "interesting".
I've always liked Dexter's albums, especially the ones on Blue Note.
I also got to hear (not just see) him live several times.
On those occasions both he & his playing were quite engaging.
