  1. She did sound awful on GMA today.
  2. It's been on CD on DIW. Dusty Groove had it recently. Don't know if they still do.
  3. Buddy Rich
  4. Me too. Will probably depend on how much of a "completist" one wants to be.

It's really good, but I like the Argo (quartet) one better.
  6. I love the Stratford Shakespearean Festival CD.
  7. Well worth it. Disclaimer: I'm a big Charlap fan.
  8. The Nance CD is much less expensive at Cadence for US buyers.
  9. FWIW Ebert says one star.
  10. I'm going to resist this as long as I can. The unreleased material should have been released as a separate issue at a reasonable price. I'd pay $15 for this but not $30.
  11. As I said earlier "troll". I just keep following the thread so I can be aggravated (or amused).
  12. Ravi Coltrane: In Flux Used a Borders coupon.
  13. I like Hillerman too. He's 80 now. Has a new one scheduled for mid-2006. I just started Elizabeth Kostova: The Historian Lots of press. Hope it lives up to the attention.
  14. Blood Ulmer: Tales Of Captain Black Pete LaRoca: Turkish Women at the Bath CD with Gilmore Both scheduled for delivery today.
  15. Me too. Does the word "troll" apply? Just asking.
  16. Louis Sclavis Quintet: L'affrontement des pretendants (ECM 1705) is one that I like.
  17. This wouldn't be a bad place to start. It's excellent (IMO). He's been a major player in the Herbie Nichols Project & on other things as well.
  18. I like Blu Blu Blu. Also his set on the 4 CD Interpretations Of Monk is wonderful (Cherry, Lacy, Rudd, Rouse, Richard Davis, Ben Riley). His playing as a "sideman" On Braxton's Live Basel set (Hatology) is also a peak.
  19. Me too. So that's at least 5 copies sold.
  20. I'll "second" the McPherson too. Good stuff.
  21. Vinyl only. Takes me out of the mix. Just saved $40.
  22. I have it. Very nice (IMHO).
  23. Worth waiting for.
