  1. Brewers 4-0. What's that all about??
  2. Virginia Swift: Hello, Stranger
  3. FWIW (after all, I'm not Jim), I bought the damn thing too from DG. Glad I did. BTW, my wife hates much of it too. I'd get Roots too the minute it appeared.
  4. I agree. Is this a "kinder, gentler" Tony or will Phil wind up in "cement shoes"??
  5. Still sick.
  6. DG seems to have Change Of Scene for $9.99! Do not hesitate.
  7. That's sick!!
  8. If you have A.B. Spellman's book, this might be the day to pull it out & read the McLean section.
  9. One of the all time greats. R.I.P.
  10. It's $11.96 (the regular edition) at Amazon today, so I threw in the new Frank London "klezmer-jazz" CD & got free shipping.
  11. The Hill is the highlight for me since I have all of the Evans material (& the McLean Mosaic).
  12. I did the same. Got the Marsh + a Braxton on Leo & a Braxton on Splasch.
  13. I like it a lot. Thanks for bringing it up in this context.
  14. What the hell is "Savivity"?? Enlighten if you can. Thanks.
  15. I bought the entire Tatum Group Masterpieces really inexpensively from Zweit. a while back. I'm one of the (seeming) minority that really likes Tatum in "group" settings. This is one of the best.
  16. perhaps that's because it hasn't been recorded yet. from the website: Well, i guess that makes sense, although they seem to already know the price.
  17. You are correct, sir. My favorites are mostly on Atlantic. This impression of the MJQ as being effete is totally wrong. They actually swing like crazy.
  18. Good description. I like it too.
  19. 3rd season available for pre-order for 15% off (Fall 2006). Doesn't say how many CDs. Herbie Hancock comps..
  20. It's enroute to me in my latest CDU order. Looking forward to it.

    Ingrid Jensen

Nice CD. I like it too.
  22. Isn't that true of all of Chuck's list? I'm not sure about Eddie Lang.
  23. As you probably know, Grimes is back playing. I suppose someone like Lucky Thompson might qualify, although I'm not sure he retired in the usual sense of the word.
