    Red Garland
  5. 20+ years ago i bought a "ton" of vinyl from a storefront in San Francisco. The guy took only cash, had shelves full of mint stuff, also sold comic books & slept in the back on a mattress on the floor. It was somewhere South of Market St., & I'm sure must be long gone.
  6. A classic for me. Great cover photo too.
  7. Nice buy on the Cyrille for sure. It's very good.

I don't know if 20 Standards needs a defense, but I like it too. In addition most of the GTM leaves me cold.

  16. Nope - Cadence has 21 & 22 listed (18 & 19 too for that matter) but not 20. You could try e-mailing Slim at Cadence & see if she can find it.
  17. James Crumley: The Right Madness Eva Hoffman: Lost In Translation Can't imagine 2 more different books (from each other).
  18. They don't have it listed. Cadence has some good ones listed, but not the one being sought.
  19. Von Schlippenbach 3CD Monk set
  20. Good luck finding Juba-Lee.
  21. Post's Shredded Wheat & Bran. Almost no sodium, lots of fiber.
  22. I was so intrigued I bought one by one of the "masters" profiled in the book. My wife & I really like it. Prices are still pretty reasonable. BTW I have no vested interest of any kind.
  23. Yes I did. Fascinating art form. Beautiful work done in Africa using multiple different colors of telephone wire. Seeing is believing. Really. Just started Nicole Krauss: The History Of Love. She's Jonathan Safran Foer's wife. Both intriguing young writers.
  24. I agree.
  25. They have never responded to 3 requests from me.
