    Matt Wilson

Matt is a great drummer. I've heard him on his own CDs + with Zeitlin, Frank Kimbrough, Ron Horton, a.o..
  2. We thought it was one of the best films we've seen this year.
  3. Thanks. My wife & I are going to see it today.
  4. He's got some pretty good stuff. Put me down in the "I really don't mind" column.
  5. Vic Juris is excellent. Someone gave me a CDr of a live session from late 2003 with Jeremy Steig (where's he been??) with Juris, Cameron Brown on bass & Billy Drummond on drums. Nice stuff & Juris is outstanding. Don't know if it'll ever see the light of day though.
  6. I saw him live recently playing duets with Marc Copland. I found the music depressing & angst ridden. Guess I wasn't in the right mood that night.
  7. There's a DIW CD (? in print) by a Dave Douglas Quartet that has several Joni Mitchell songs on it.
  8. It's not a "dud'. Having said that, I personally prefer Sweet Rain.

    Archie Shepp

Definitely worth any (semi-reasonable) price you have to pay for it.
  10. This turned out to be an excellent show.
  11. Good stuff. Mix it with Oregon chai & heat for a real treat. Get some biscotti for dunking too.
  12. So somebody buy the Watkins already. Great cover too.
  13. I got mine from amazon.uk Good service & good price (if they still have it).
  14. Played this twice today. I like it.
  15. Unfortunately this is not an area I have any expertise in (I'm a gastroenterologist). What I will say is that this evaluation should be completed ASAP.
  16. That's quite a haul for around $100. I say - "nice going".
  17. The number the above will sell to me - zero.
  18. Monday night I saw Frank Morgan with George Cables, Cecil McBee & Leroy Williams. They all seemed to be in good shape & good form.
  19. I like 'em too. I admit to not being much of a polarity reverser.
  20. We watch Boston Legal & The Wire, sometimes Letterman & an occasional sports event.
  21. FWIW the same offer is posted at AAJ with (so far) no replies.
  22. We have early voting, so I voted about a week ago. I got a ballot & a #2 pencil.
  23. Frank's going to be playing at The Outpost in Albuquerque next week in a group with George Cables, Cecil McBee & Leroy Williams. Looking forward to it.
  24. pre-ordered from Barnes & Noble, $26.60 & free shipping.
