I use Spotify. But What I have done is ripped 95% of my music on to hard drives, and connect it to a Raspberry Pi with a HiFiBerry DAC+ which I can run it to my stereo. It is phenomenal.
Scott, I recommend the Rega Planar 2 and a Nagaoka 150 cartridge. He can later upgrade the stylus to a 200, as the bodies are the same. Or lpgear's new line of cartridges, which are beginning to get rave reviews, especially the Vessel A3SV.

Tipica 73 was one of the great latin bands of the 70s. Known only to latin music aficionados and those who lived in the barrios. Greatly underappreciated.
