  1. Since I live in Colorado I'm wearing warm clothes and on the other side of the coin I'm wearing out.
  2. All of "Electric Ladyland" as well as "Driving South" ,"Red House" and "You Got Me Floating".
  3. I've instructed a friend of mine to take all my music with the stipulation that any of our friends have reasonable access to the collection for recording purposes etc.
  4. Santana's "Song Of The Wind" and the New Orleans versions of "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" "I'll Be Glad When You're Dead You Rascal You" and "When The Saints Go Marchin In".
  5. I went with Cal Tjader. You can make a good case for anyone on this list but I went with Cal because- well he's a hero of mine. I do wish Dave Pike would have been on the list too.
  6. Why do I have a feeling that's akin to my claiming "technical difficulties" whenever I fall asleep for a minute when I'm doing 5am air? Because it is.
  7. Happy belated birthday Tod.
  8. Welcome to the board ex-newbie.
  9. I wasn't aware that there was a Harlem River Drive studio date(s). I have the two Sing Sing cd's . Volume One I like but I really don't care for Volume two.
  10. Bobby Timmons was a badass player.
  11. Blue Mitchell.
  12. If I can swing it yeah.
  13. Mike or WNMC where can these sessions be had?
  14. I miss the grammys every year and have no regrets doing so. Somebody at work told me that after the Janet Jackson incident that this years ceremony was fairly quiet.
  15. At first glance the Verve's looked greasy, greasy, greasy. Any thoughts on these?
  16. No. First of all because I don't have a lot of time for this sort of thing and I feel that what time I do have is very well spent over here. Also, I think BNE will probably not take kindly to criticism of Norah Jones and heavy censorship will probably be the result and since I already have enough aggravation in my life I feel no need to add to it. I do agree with Kevin about the conduct of some of the old BNBB members contributing to the demise of that board and it never hurts to exercise some restraint but the idea of someone breathing down your neck over every word you say particulary about Norah Jones-well it just isn't worth it as far as I'm concerned. At this point in time about all Blue Note is good for is the reissues. Third-I've moved on and this board is a place where I feel at home.
  17. Tom my sympathy on your loss. I hope you and your family are ok. Make it back here asap.
  18. There hasn't been much Horace that I haven't liked regardless of approach. I'm looking forward to this one and looking forward to the day that the Silver N' series is released whenever that might be.
  19. It seems to me to be ironic that Michael Powell would get in such a snit over the tit but it's perfectly alright as far as he's concerned if the big radio groups choke the life out of independents and control the general dissemination of information to a dangerous degree.
  20. If Adolf Hitler was alive and could take a Division One team to the final four he'd get a gig too.
  21. I don't know if you've seen "Field Of Dreams" but towards the end there's that scene where James Earl Jones is going to walk into that cornfield that leads to who knows where. He doesn't just walk right into it first he sticks his hand in the cornfield very tentatively and laughs and then walks into the cornfield off on his adventure. As far as that period of Trane's music is concerned that's where I'm at all I have to do is to will myself to walk into that "cornfield" and I know I'll be alright.
  22. Damn you JSngry I haven't eaten yet.
  23. Thanks for your effort B3-er. No apology is necessary.
  24. This board is my home but if other boards work for other people then that's ok. As for you Jazzmoose.
