  1. Not in the strictest sense of the word whatever the hell that is but in his own Moondog kind of way-yeah.
  2. I'm not familiar with that group. Weren't they on a Proper box? . Happy new year Victor.
  3. Just for the record I generally prefer four or more players over two this just happens to be an exception.
  4. The first Paul Butterfield album with Mike Bloomfield taking the lead guitar solos still stands up 40 years later. Also I'd like to put in a good word for Luther Allison who was a fiery singer and guitar player.
  5. If you are going to use conduct as a criterion then Ty Cobb would have never made it into the hall-vicious,nasty racist old bastard. Even so I don't think Pete Rose should be let into the hall. He reminds me of the old Nazis who's only regrets were losing the war and getting caught afterwards. If Rose does get into the hall there should be a provision that he can never ever participate in baseball again.
  6. I also hope that Horace keeps on recording and I really don't mind the vocal forays from time to time.
  7. Hey AB when is the cat going to start chowing down on that TV dinner?
  8. Hmm I'll have to pick up the paper and see if anyone in our neck of the woods has been digested recently.
  9. One difference Senor Weizen he went looking for them I have no such intentions.Since I live in the town limits of Pagosa Springs an encounter with a bear while possible is minimal. Besides the rascals are hibernating right now and when they wake up in a few months as long as they have adequate food sources in the woods they won't bug people too much. The people around here are instructed on how to not encourage bears and for the most part only those who disregard those instructions and are otherwise careless will get grief from a hungry Ursa. However if the Bear's natural food supply is diminished it will do what it has to do in order to eat and that includes breaking into your house and maybe eating your gun. .Personally I would be worried more about a Mountain Lion but unlike Boulder there presence around Pagosa Springs are not encouraged but extra vigilance is not a bad idea because we just had a big dump of snow and if the Lion's food supply starts coming into the town limits the Lion might very well follow.
  10. I don't really afffix a date to this album because to me it seems timeless.
  11. Seeing Okey Dokie get turned away made my evening.
  12. That's ok Dave to each their own but personally I think that you can't go wrong with this one.
  13. Where I live in Colorado is in the middle of NRA country but I don't own a gun and have no desire to do so. My sister who lives in LA carries a gun and considering where she lives I can sympathize with that. In the part of Colorado where I live I'm more concerned with four legged predators than two legged ones.If I encountered one of the four legged ones I might regret the decision not to be armed but I'll worry about that when and if the time comes.
  14. No sweat Jazzbo I pretty well knew where you were coming from. I was referring to other people who have knocked Clapton at times justifiably so. I agree with you that Freddie should be as well known at Clapton and in a perfect world he would be better known then Clapton-he was a helluva guitar player.
  15. There are people out there who are not Clapton fans and he has put out his fair share of dreck. However it hasn't been all bad and getting to the point of Eric and Freddie like he did with Otis Rush etc EC couldn't really improve on what they did and so he did a credible job of copying them. Personally I'm grateful to EC for alerting me to these blues greats and others.
  16. I feel that I've learned something from just about everyone on this board.
  17. I guess he forgot about Tupac and Biggie Smalls.
  18. In Colorado it has been particulary nasty but I've managed to avoid it so far-knock on wood.
  19. One of the very few times ever I'll be rooting for the University of Spoiled Children.
  20. Britney and Christina in a cat fight. Sounds like the making of a light beer commercial.
  21. Amateur night is a good way to put it. I plan to lay low. Here's hoping for a good 2004 for everybody.
  22. She was acknowledged on the Blue Note cd "New York Stories". Danny Gatton's composition "Dolly's Ditty" was for her.
