  1. I just ordered the Wes.
  2. Penisillin? Jim, is that burn one with a friend or get burned by a friend?
  3. I caught the last part of the first half while channel surfing and catching a glimpse of a really fine looking Miami cheerleader (my wife was not home, okay?) and I immediately thought of you, Aggie87, watching that debacle.
  4. Steam/Valve is a videogame developer/distributor.
  5. Damn! And I thought it was Joey, moonlighting! MG
  6. Man, I haven't banned anybody in a long time. I've got an itchy trigger finger.

  8. Best re-issue news I've heard in YEARS! I have not heard this date yet. Can't wait!
  9. Well, we finally got true confirmation that Old Town did indeed win the contest! Awesome! Thanks again everyone for your help!
  10. With services like Hotmail, sometimes if you delete multiple messages from the same sender repeatedly, without reading them, the service will automatically assume that the messages must be spam or junk mail. The solution is to simply add the forum email address to your "white list" or "safe list".
  11. Congrats on the CD release, Paul! Can't wait to hear it!
  12. While there are much better songs to use to represent the "Great American Songbook" that Surrey With A Fringe On Top, I find it hard that anyone can argue that it's a good song. It's frickin' terrible! And if we're going to judge how great songs are by how many people covered it, then I guess "Yesterday" by the Beatles is the greatest song ever written in the history of mankind.
  13. I just read the New Yorker article, in print form. Fascinating fraud!
  14. As long as you get to Amazon.uk from here, yes. All purchases count. The cookie that is transfered to your computer when you start your search here lasts for 12 hours, I believe.
  15. But now you both know ME, and that is waaay awesomer.
  16. Please don't request burns of copyrighted material here.
  17. It was averaging around $20 a month from CDUniverse. Less than that from Amazon. It has increased a bit (just got a check from CDU for $42). I think with the European Amazons you have to hit a threshold before they transfer the money, so it happens in waves.
  18. Anyone read this article in the New Yorker a few weeks back? Fascinating. http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2007/08...3fa_fact_bilger
  19. In case anybody didn't notice, the search bar is back. I could not get it to display in the same place as it was before, but it seems to be fine right under the member menu bar.
  20. Wow.
  21. My wife makes a mean chicken salad; she cooks it on a Forman grill. It's da bomb. Almond slices, relish, onion, celery.... yum!
  22. That sucks, Mark. Should we be concerned about the Jazz Kitchen? Or is this an isolated incident?
  23. Very wise words from Sangry. Compatable interests is important, too. As a musician, who does this fulltime, it is extremely important that my wife is also an artist (she got her degree in oil painting!) She understands the need to create and lets me live this dream of being a musician, even sacrificing her own creativity sometimes (although her new job allows her to use her visual talents much more than her last one!) On our first date, one of the first things I told her was that I was a musician; that was what I did for a living. She didn't run away! In fact, she thought it was fantastic! When we went to her mother's house after dinner and I saw the beautiful, gigantic mural she painted in her mother's kitchen, I fell even more in love with her.
  24. I met my wife at a wedding gig way up in northern Michigan. She was a bride's maid. The minute she walked in, the entire room disappeared. I could not take my eyes off her. On the break she came and introduced herself to me. After the gig, I mustered up enough courage to give her my phone number and tell her that I wanted to take her out to dinner. I had no idea where she lived; she could've lived up north. But I wanted to see her again anyway. Luckily she lived in Lansing like me! We married a year (to the day we met) later. It's been 5 years as of yesterday (Sept. 15th). I'm proud to announce that we have a second baby on the way (Zora, our first, is three years old now! Can you believe it?) One thing I will say: I was always very shy and unsure around women. All through high school and college I had some self-confidence issues. I lived in Ann Arbor for almost 2 years and about two weeks before I moved back to Lansing I finally just had enough. I decided that I was tired of being shy and I was going to be outgoing with women, confident in myself, and that I was a good catch! During the next two weeks I had two ex-girlfriends try to get back with me (no thanks), another girl trying to get with me (she was nice, but not my type) and then, just as I moved back to Lansing, I met my wife. You got to love yourself before you can be loved, I guess that's what I'm trying to say. You have to be secure in your own skin, you know? It took me awhile to figure that out.
  25. It's been a slow summer, so it's nice to have some hits! Busy is good!
