  1. Deleted the double topic post for you, betrand!
  2. I fixed them for you, BeBop. Be sure to pay attention to the pixel size when posting images.
  3. Cool! Maybe they'll kill each other off.
  4. That's what I'm talking about!! LOL!
  5. Not to step on Man with the Golden Arm's original masterpiece, I did some editing. Note that my son now has the obligatory gold curtain behind him, which is found in all the best clubs on the chitlin' circuit. When this shot was taken he was doing a burnin' solo on "Three Blind Mice".
  6. LOL!!! That's hilarious! I'll show that to my wife!!
  7. No, my email is working fine. What problems are you having with email?
  8. Well, he thinks he knows how to solve the problem. Unfortunately he's on vacation in Mexico right now and this is something he can't fix remotely. He'll be back on Monday and will tackle it then. Bummer.
  9. PM's are actually going through. The user just doesn't get an email saying he/she has received a PM. Direct emails are NOT going through. I'm talking to my server guy on AOL right now trying to fix the problem.
  10. DIE! DIABLO!
  11. From Sweetwater Sound (reputable dealers of music gear):
  12. I've always heard it IS relevant. FWIW, the Matsui's use gold dye. They rock.
  13. Verbatim discs used to use the dark blue dye you're reffering to. Don't know if they still do. That said, Matsui are probably the best blanks money can buy. I don't have your burner, but I've never had a problem with Matsui. It's what a lot of studios use to burn reference copies of records.
  14. We're gentlemen?!? I thought this was part of the chitlin' circuit!
  15. Damn. Spoke too soon. PM system still flubbin up. FUCK!
  16. I fixed the problem myself. Seems my one of my files got corrupt. Replaced it with the original and everything seems to be working now. Thank you for your patience.
  17. I've gotten two Ebay fraud emails in the last week. Sent them both to Ebay and got replies confirming their bogus-ness. Safe rule of thumb: Go to ebay.com and log in and see if there's any warning there. If there isn't, you're fine and it's a fraud.
  18. Thank you everyone for the kind words! The whole family is excited since this will be the first grandchild for my father and my wife's mother and father. We're going to wait until birth to know whether it's a boy or girl. We've already got the boys name set. James Theodore Alfredson VI. And yes, he's going to be an organ playin' fool!!! Unless he takes up sax and wants to be the next Stanley T. That'll be all right with me, too! If it's a girl, she'll be the next Shirley Scott!!!! Chuck, I'm sure my dad worries about us all the time too. It's scary to think of another human life totally dependent on you for a long time and then independent one day. Life is nutty! Thank you again!
  19. Yeah, I'm not too happy with what's going on and I'm not getting too many answers from my server guy. I'll keep pestering him...
  20. That original copy has to come from somewhere. Someone bought the CD, converted it to MP3 and then put it up to be shared. That means, just like a used CD, the music has been purchased. If you've ever done file-sharing, you'll notice that with one song you'll find many many different files. All the same song, but the bit rates of the mp3 compression may be slightly different, or the song length is slightly different, or the name is typed differently. This means that they are most likely NOT from the same source. Which means many people bought the CD, compressed the track, and then uploaded. So the record company is still making money.
  21. I got an email from Ken saying that we shouldn't have any more problems. Obviously we are, so I emailed him back to explain the situation. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. Thank you for your patience.
  22. But dude, the guy can dance!!!
  23. He's our new drummer. We gave Randy the boot because he wouldn't play with his shirt off.
  24. Now that I've got my cable modem connection back I'm thinking of joining. Gotta run it by the wife, but they seem to have a lot of her tastes in there too (she likes older country and bluesgrass as well as older pop/rock). $10 a month? I'd rather have that than cable TV personally!
